A well designed web site should be intuitive, accessible and aesthetically pleasing, while striving for a site that loads reasonably quickly. Web design has technical demands such as download times, browser and monitor compatibility, and web palettes. My goal is to create an optimal user experience by paying particular attention to the user interface. I consider this a major key to a good web site.

There is alot that can be done in Photoshop. The final work needs to add up to a whole or otherwise it is simply manipulation.

During the past two years I have created animations for DataPower Norway's training CD-ROMs. These animations are very short (around 20-30 seconds), but fill the need of capturing the trainee's attention for the new subject matter in each chapter. They consist of objects drawn in Flash that are then animated in Director. This is a sampling of a few of the animations. Click the button next to the animation's title to view.

Welcome to Hamnes Design's Website. This site is an introduction to my work and point of view. I have been making pictures for over 25 years, but it is only in the last five that I have started using a computer to do it. I have worked on web sites and animations for the last year freelance and look forward to new challenges in the years to come.
